Boots in the summer? Do or Don’t?
Having lived on both sides of the country, I have found that acceptable fashions differ from coast to coast. I have to say the East coast of the country stays in style every season of the year. There are strict rules to follow when getting dressed in the morning on the east coast. You absolutely can not wear white in the winter or sandals in the winter even if you live in Florida. In the winter, boots are a must but in the summer, it is a definite no no. People will definitely be looking at you funny if you walk around in boots during the summer. On the west coast, things are quite different. Its all about comfort on the west coast. I have to say I was quite surprised to find people wearing boots with shorts in May and June. I remember the first time I saw this I was shocked! I thought maybe this was a one person occurrence. I was wrong, many people in Southern California were wearing their boots with their shorts and they were wearing them proudly. Maybe it matters on what coast you live on? Either way, I have found myself sticking to the east coast rule of not wearing boots at all in the summer because why would you want to? It is way too hot for them even if they are comfy. In my opinion fashion is all about individuality isnt’t it? Your own sense of fashion tells the world who you are so I say go ahead and wear your boots in the summer if it makes you happy.
